Calgary Luge Club

The CLC Board of Directors has been working since November to review and plan new club direction and objectives.  Our current goals are to increase membership through exposure and all age involvement in our sport.  We also strive to put funds volunteers and athletes have raised —from our Casinos and other fundraising— directly into program fees for Alberta and National Team members. Helping offset cost of the CLA and ALA  programs, winter and summer, with those dollars. Thanks to our Volunteers and the support of the AGLC through Casinos, we continue to develop our winter and summer programming.

I would like to encourage all those involved to apply for your membership today. If you can, apply for a family membership, it won’t cost you anything extra! Add in your family members, the increase in numbers helps us to help you.

As your board continues to develop programs this winter we are planning to have bi-monthly open times at Winsport so you and your family can come out and have fun doing Natural luge. Sleds and coaching will be provided. The goal is growing our club through regular fun for all ages, activities, and participation. We are operating 5 wheeled sliding dates this summer. These dates are open to all members —yes parents too— to come out and continue enjoying luge on wheeled sleds.
